Happy June! We’re awash in cucumbers here in Austin… I’m making quinoa salad every other day to get through them (if you’d like a copy of the recipe, I’ll be sending it to members of the Readers’ Circle next week; please come join us! You can sign up at the top of this page). Here is just a sample of what I’m faced with daily… anyone have a good pickle recipe? :O
On the writing front, I wanted to let you know that the first two Dewberry Farm mysteries (Killer Jam and Fatal Frost) are on sale for 99 cents on Kindle through the end of June… and the third book, Deadly Brew, is available for pre-order! The books have gotten almost 350 5-star reviews so far, and I’m tickled pink. Thank you so much to all of the readers who have taken the time to leave reviews; they really, really, make a difference. And look at this new, lovely cover! Deadly Brew will be out September 4… in both paperback and e-book, even though only the e-book is available for pre-order at the moment. I’m working on audiobook production, too (and am currently in negotiations for audiobooks for the rest of the Gray Whale Inn mysteries).
When I’m not weeding the garden, making quinoa salad and Googling pickle recipes, I am spending a good bit of time at my local coffee house, Trianon, drinking coffee out of one of the special mugs they save for me and tapping away on my computer. (Only some of the time on Facebook, where you’re welcome to join me). Right now, Deadly Brew is front and center, and I’m having a grand time with haunted houses, poison, witches, and Halloween hi-jinks. And maybe all this writing about witches has sparked something… I have a new paranormal cozy series in mind, which I’m sketching out in between writing scenes. I haven’t decided if I should set it in New England, Ireland, or England… feel free to drop me a line if you have a preference! (I plan to tackle the eighth Gray Whale Inn mystery shortly, as well.)
Thank you, as always, for joining me on my adventures… you inspire me to write more every day! <3
