Fowl Play, the ninth Dewberry
Happy September!
We’re back from Alaska, nobody drowned, the kids are in school, Labor Day is over, we’re all done having the stomach flu… and I have a SCHEDULE again.
Hallelujah!
Alaska was marvelous — I have lots of pictures I have to figure out how to transfer — and I just found out I also have the new cover of HOWLING AT THE MOON. (Since I found it on the Random House site, I figured it was public knowledge now.) I think it’s gorgeous — it’s always amazing to see what the artists come up with, and I think this one is fabulous. It gives me chills to see it in print! (Although Sophie is definitely rather different from Natalie, don’t you think?)
At any rate, how are you? If I’ve missed your e-mail in the past few weeks, I’m working through them — feel free to drop me a reminder. I just posted on Cozy Chicks about what I’ve been doing other than writing, although for the next six weeks, writing is going to be at the top of the list (next deadline Oct. 15 — yikes).

Stomach flu?? I’m sorry to hear that! I’m glad you’re done with that at least.
So is that the cover you were talking about? Very cool, and very slick! Awesome. Although, yes, I get quite a different impression of Sophie than I do of Natalie. 🙂

Anyway, the cold hit here. Mom and I got bitten, and I had to miss a day of work. Other than that, I’m good.

I’m well – finally. And I’m making progress on the work front. Now to get the writing front in line.
There are shots for that. I had to get mine before starting at UT. If nothing else, demand to get it if it’s a huge concern. Things like this are yet another argument for homeschooling; you reduce the medical costs per year. But I digress…
Hope to speak with you soon. I’d love to run some ideas by you. I’m actually working on three book ideas – and I may wind up helping my new employer write one to support his non-profit mission.
BTW, I adore the cover. Finally got to see it thanks to my new computer. (Now to pay the bill when it comes in…)
