Anchored Inn is out!
The tenth Gray Whale Inn mystery, Anchored Inn, is out!
Tea, scones… and old bones.
If you’re looking to escape all the craziness (or just struggling with cabin fever), this is the perfect way to lose yourself in the world of Cranberry Island for a few hours. A sunken U-Boat discovery, a 20-year-old murder mystery, a disappearing island resident, and of course, lots of delicious recipes, including Fudgy Bundt Cake you can probably make from what you have on hand and cranberry muffins to die for. Oh… and a murder, of course. Plus a family surprise!
Anchored Inn is available as an e-book from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. You can purchase the paperback from Amazon (Barnes and Noble will have it available soon).
I hope you are all safe, healthy, and finding ways to stay connected and not too anxious. I’m on the last bit of house painting and am moving boxes of books (so many books!), carload by carload, to my new house in Georgetown. On the plus side, it’s like free gym workouts? :O
The kids are adjusting to the new “normal” and are both in virtual school; Child #1 is taking a class on identifying plants, so we’re looking forward to field trips to natural areas to look at wildflowers and trees. (In fact, I just found out we’re doing the first one this afternoon.) And it’s a gorgeous spring, at least; there are red poppies all over the place in my new town, which cheer me up every time I see them. Even though I can’t go to coffee shops and get to know my new community, I’ve met several neighbors from my front porch perch, and I’ve really enjoyed walking and taking in the freshness of nature.
I’ve got to move some more books, but I hope you are all doing okay and finding ways to stay connected and peaceful during these challenging times. We’ll get through it, I know, but the day-to-day can be hard.
Sending joy, peace, and healing (if you need it) your way. I am thankful for each and every one of you, and hope you are finding ways to thrive despite the craziness. Come hang out with me on Facebook if you haven’t; I’d love to connect with you there!
