Ack!

Nothing like discovering you have two books (only one of which is finished) scheduled for release in seven months to get those creative juices running!

Gulp.

I just found Murder Most Maine on Amazon yesterday. I thought it would be out in 2009, but evidently I was incorrect in that assumption.

Off to the word processing program now…

YIKES! You would think that the publishing world would keep it’s money makers better informed! That’ll be three books coming out for you this year! SWEET!

By the way, your class has inspired me to pick back up a short story I started eight years ago and never finished. The way it’s coming out now, it might even turn into a full length novel! We’ll see as my personal “4 first drafts” screenplay deadline looms at the end of the month. Two and half down…. one and a half to go!

Karen, I attended your workshop at the Texas Writer’s League conference last year. It was GREAT. I pitched to several agents. I had one to ask for the first three chapters, however she said it didn’t hit her like she thought it would. She was very encouraging in her comments but pointed out that suspense is a hard sale to publishers. So I decided to self publish through iuniverse. My book, The Melanin Factor, should be out next month. Again thanks so much for your encouraging words and spending the time to look at my ptich three different times.

Hi Karen – I just finished Dead and Berried, and really enjoyed it. I reviewed it on my blog at http://blogginboutbooks.blogspot.com if you want to check it out!

BTW: I’d love to review Murder Most Maine, if you want to send me a copy 🙂 I’m a big fan!

    How exciting AND scary!

    Good luck 😀

  7. Lawrence,

It was my fault, not theirs; they put a quick pub schedule on it to get it to market.

I am almost finished with MMM — it will be done next week — as well as the third werewolf book.

Congrats on all the progress in YOUR writing, btw! I’ll be seeing your work on the screen in no time…

  8. Barbara,

Thanks so much for checking in — and congrats on getting your book out there. And I appreciate the kind words, too!

I’ll keep my eye out for the Melanin Factor. Sounds great!

  9. Susan,

Thanks so much for the review… it was fun to read, esp. since I’m finishing up the third GWI mystery, Murder Most Maine, this month. I hope you enjoy it just as much!

  10. Susan,

If I can get MI to send you one, I will… they’re not doing as many ARCs as they were. If I get a few copies to send, I will — why don’t you e-mail me and let me know your address?

  11. Miladysa,

It’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. I’m on the home stretch now, and already thinking about what books to do next! (I said I was going to take a break this summer, but we’ll see…)
