Trick or Treat? Definitely a
August Signing in Bar Harbor
I’m headed up to Maine for lobster… er, research this coming Tuesday. After all, if I don’t visit Jordan Pond House and sample the popovers, how can I possibly describe them accurately? I feel I have to remind myself what blueberry picking feels like, too.
If you happen to be in the area of Bar Harbor, I’ll be signing books at Sherman’s in Bar Harbor (http://www.shermans.com) Wednesday, August 14 from 7 to 9. I will likely then spend most of my next advance in their terrific store.
With any luck, while I’m there, I’ll get the edits done on Death Runs Adrift, the sixth Gray Whale Inn mystery, and get some ideas for the short story I’m hoping to release this fall. I hope to see some of you there!
Death Runs Adrift… Honestly I don’t think I could be more excited that the 6th book is well on its way with Natalie and all the gang. Yay!!!!!
Hi Karen: I was thrilled when I found out that your fifth book in the Gray Whale Inn mystery series was out and I will order that today. I can hardly wait for Death Runs Adrift too.
We were supposed to be going on vacation in Maine this week and next with our daughter, son in law and three grandchildren, but they decided on doing camping on Cape Cod this week and then we are all going to upstate New York on Saturday for five days so that they can get to see Lake George, Saratoga Springs, etc. where my husband and I go fairly often.
Our nights have been cooler this past week but then back to the high 70’s and low 80’s during the day, but expect cooler nights (in the high 50’s)
Have a great time and enjoy your lobster and all the blueberry foods that you can find. Did you ever try lobster ice cream? Not sure who is doing it as it seemed to be a fad item a few years ago. I love lobster but didn’t like the lobster ice cream at all. But I ate it. haha.
Bye for now.
Cynthia
Thanks so much, Edel… I’m packing the edits (and some feedback from a few friends) in my backpack for the plane!
Cynthia… I hope you have a fabulous time in Saratoga Springs… my house sitter was just in Saratoga a few weeks ago and thought it was terrific. I grew up in Utica, not too far away!
I’m really looking forward to cooler weather. Fifties would be lovely, as it’s been steady hundreds here. Yuck. I haven’t tried lobster ice cream, but I do love lobster stew and lobster rolls. (I’ve never been tempted, and certainly won’t be now.) I would have eaten the whole thing too, I’m sure. Would chocolate sauce help? 😉
