Six Merry Little Murders hit #76 on the USA Today Bestseller list and #6 on the IndieReader bestseller list! I could NOT have done this without you, and am SO grateful for your support. Speaking of Lucy’s Farmhouse Kitchen, I’m just putting the finishing touches on the cookbook, which includes not just recipes from the first six Dewberry Farm mysteries, but some bonus recipes, such as yummy Texas Peach Cobbler, the Christmas candy recipes from Slay Bells Ring, and a few of Grandma Vogel’s favorites, including Lavender Bath Salts you can easily make at home. (I’ll be including a bunch of Lucy’s favorite kitchen tips, too.) The cookbook, which will be out just in time for Thanksgiving, will also be featured in King’s River Life… I can’t wait!
And now, the rare book sale.
For the first time that I can remember, the Agatha-nominated Murder on the Rocks, the first book of the Gray Whale Inn mysteries (and the one that started it all), is on sale for only 99 cents. This won’t last long and I really don’t know if it will ever happen again, so grab it while you can!!!!
OH… and before I forget, I’ll be speaking at the November 10 Sisters in Crime meeting in Austin. It meets Sunday at 2 at the Laura Bush Library… I’ll be talking about writing series! 🙂
On the home front, Child #2 is slogging through college applications (one of the essays included the term “cheesy comestibles;” we have another writer in the family), Child #1 is knocking it out of the park at Oregon, where she’s loving marching band and just joined a service fraternity, and Dog #1 continues to enjoy rifling through my bookshelves until I produce chew toys. And he and Dog #2 both like to sleep in the middle of the bed. *sigh*
